Partnership Research in Bankside Hostel
The research project which is described on this part of the site was conducted by Ricky (a service user who is learning disabled) and a university researcher (Steve). The project involved working with a group of learning disabled adults who were being moved from a hostel into accommodation which allowed them more independence. The researchers worked together on a photography project with the residents of the hostel. The photographs helped the researchers learn about how residents were feeling about the move and they provided the basis for ‘memory books’ for the residents.
